On this endeared Dong Nai land, over nearly the last century, our people has accomplished glorious war feats during the resistance wars and great achievements during the renovation period, making worthy contributions to the national epic. Many heroes and valiant persons have showed their uncomparable bravery in fight, their assiduous creativeness and overcome difficulties and hardships to build socialism. They are typical and alive examples of indomitable heroism of our "hardship-bearing but brave" Eastern Region fatherland.

    The heroes, although they issued from diverse circumstances and have different exploits, all possess sublime qualities in common, which are intense consciousness of the communist ideal, extreme loyalty to the Party, utmost devotion to the people, great courage in fight and diligent creativeness in labour. They all are fearless of sacrifices and difficulties, strong minded, highly determined to overcome challenges, accomplishing brilliant war deeds and excellent labour achievements, deserving confidence, love and respect from all people. In fight, in labour as well as in their daily lives, they are simple and frank persons, love their families and relatives, assume their responsibilities to society and act in close solidarity with their comrades and team-mates.

    The war ended many decades ago, but the sublime qualities of Ho Chi Minh eras heroes are still precious assets enlightening the present Fatherland?s renewal, construction and protection.

    The heroes who fell forever cannot say anything about themselves. The surviving ones who live their daily lives do not want to speak much of their military feats, which they consider to be their legitimate pride and epic memories of their times devoted to the people and the Fatherland. But to us, they deserve to be glorified. The heroes? exploits forever remain a spiritual fulcrum for us to step forward. The heroes, whether dead or alive, all merit to have their deeds recorded in historical books for future generations to follow their examples. For this reason, the Dong Nai Party Committee has directed the publication of a two volume story book under the title "DONG NAI LAND HEROES" about the province? heroes.

    These are precious documents contributing to educate about the patriotic and revolutionary traditions, the indomitable and heroic fights, the assiduous creativeness of our people through proud and distingguished examples of Dong Nai heroes. So, the Dong Nai Service of Industries, in coordination with the Dong Nai Veterans? Association, will enter these stories into the Dong Nai Service of Industries Website so that our comrades and our people, especially officials and employees of Dong Nai industrial enterprises, can review our people? heroic fights and legendary war exploits in the past, and this also reminds every Vietnamese citizen of our present and future responsibilities to our Fatherland.
